The name says it all, Sunstone, a relative of moonstone, is a stone that ranges in color from pale orange to blue and green. It is rarely found in a gem form. There are deposits in Oregon, India, and Russia. The schiller effect, where the light shimmers just under the surface of the stone, is visibly displayed in the most sought after pieces.
